This unique accelerated program is designed for graduates of the Simmons Masters of Health Administration (MHA) program who seek to advance their education and careers with our Health Care MBA (HCMBA).

As a graduate of the Simmons MHA program, you've already completed a significant portion of the coursework required for the HCMBA. Our MHA alumnae/i  graduated with the HCMBA with as few as eight additional courses. 

You'll learn from accomplished faculty whose achievements and specialties cover a wide range of areas — like Medicare and Medicaid policy, health care reform, asset and liability management, leadership development, biotechnology and international health care.

Our program incorporates the strengths of our nationally recognized MBA program with the expertise of our health care faculty and extensive curriculum. Our students are able to continue their current work and advance their careers with the HCMBA. 

Program Requirements

The Simmons Master of Health Administration to Health Care MBA is a flexible program designed to enhance and build upon the work completed in the Simmons MHA program with the financial, technical, and strategic skills of an MBA.

Simmons MHA alumnae/i may transfer up to 30 approved MHA credits into the Health Care MBA program and must complete 24 additional credits in the Health Care MBA curriculum to complete the Health Care MBA degree. Courses may only be transferred into the program if the student earned a B or better in the course and his or her MHA degree was awarded within the last ten years. After completing the orientation course Foundations of Business, students take 4 core courses from the general MBA program and 4 health-care-specific course, for 24-credits.
