GSHS "Bridges" DPT Degree

The Graduate School for Health Studies is offering a DPT (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) Bridge Program for licensed physical therapists, beginning in September 2002. The program will provide licensed physical therapists who have baccalaureate or master's degrees the opportunity to obtain a clinical doctorate degree in physical therapy. Until now, this program was open only to Simmons alumnae/i.

According to Carmen Fortin, assistant dean/ director of admission, what makes this doctorate program unique is its flexibility. Students can either take the courses completely online or in combination with classes on campus, generally offered in the evenings and on weekends.
