The women business leaders will exchange business practices and develop business partnerships among Baltic Rim, American, and Russian business leaders. The businesswomen say that working with the Baltic businesswomen will provide opportunities to create and strengthen women-owned businesses in those countries. Panel discussions will cover accessing capital, secrets for success, surviving business mistakes, and moving from "success to significance." Following the Helsinki summit, Baltic Rim businesswomen will travel to the U.S. Nov. 11 to visit their CEO partner companies and experience first-hand how their counterparts conduct their businesses-management styles, business skills, and the American business perspective. Linda Paresky, a 1964 Simmons College graduate and Simmons trustee and former owner and co-chairman of Thomas Cook Travel USA; and Grace Richardson, 1960 Simmons College graduate, Simmons corporator, and vice president of Global Consumer Affairs at Colgate-Palmolive Co., will join O'Brien at the summit. The Simmons College School of Management is dedicated to the education of women for positions of power and leadership. It is the only business school in the world designed specifically for women. |
