Krista Fulton Named Soccer Coach at Simmons College

BOSTON (August 30, 2002) - Krista Fulton has been named the new assistant coach of the Simmons College soccer team.

Fulton brings years of experience to her new position, where she will help lead the Simmons Sharks. Formerly the assistant women's soccer coach at Boston University, she is director of developmental programs at the Spirit of Massachusetts Girls Soccer Club. Fulton has coached on the U.S. Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program for Region I, was director of No Way In Goalkeeper Academy, and was the head goalkeeper coach on the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program. She is also a systems analyst for John Hancock Financial Services.

Fulton, who is licensed with NSCAA, received her bachelor's degree at Brown University in Rhode Island, where she helped that school's soccer team advance to the regional semi-final in the 1994 NCAA Tournament and finish twelfth in the country. Fulton has received numerous awards, including the All-Ivy Recognition in 1994 and 1995 and the Academic All-Ivy in 1995.

Simmons College is a nationally recognized, small, private, predominantly women's university in the heart of Boston. It has undergraduate programs for women and graduate programs for women and men.
