Gubernatorial Candidate Stein Speaks on "Hijacking" of Health April 24
Green Party Candidate Jill Stein at Simmons College

BOSTON (April 18, 2002) – Jill Stein, Green Party candidate for Massachusetts governor, will speak on the "Hijacking of Environmental Health in America: A Doctor’s Call for Reclaiming Our Democracy" Wednesday, April 24 at 11 a.m. at Simmons College. The speech is in Room C-101 in the Main College Building, 300 The Fenway. It is free and open to the public.

Stein, a health and environmental advocate and internist at the Simmons College Health Center, will discuss the politics of environmentalism and its effect on health. She is co-author of the nationally recognized report "In Harm’s Way," which sounded an alarm on the impact of toxic exposures on child development.

The event is sponsored by the Simmons College Staff Council Environmental Committee and Simmons Community Outreach.
