to Speak at Simmons College Sept. 11 BOSTON (Sept. 6, 2001) Jane Hamilton, best-selling author of "A Map of the World" and "The Book of Ruth," will speak on her newest novel, "Disobedience," Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Conference Center at Simmons College, 300 The Fenway, Boston. The event is free and open to the public. Hamiltons award-winning books have become international bestsellers and selections of the Oprah Book Club. In "Disobedience," the author tackles the topic of coming of age in the computer age. The event is sponsored by the Simmons College Womens Studies Department, the Simmons Graduate Program in Gender/Cultural Studies, and New Words Bookstore.
