A Message from President Lynn Perry Wooten

I am honored to be the ninth president of Simmons University, an institution with a rich tradition of empowering women-centered leaders and social justice champions.

At Simmons, our mission is to provide transformative learning experiences that link passion with lifelong purpose and everyday leadership. During this pivotal moment, I believe a Simmons education – with its unique focus on liberal arts and professional preparation – has never been more important.

Our students, faculty, staff, and alumnae/I are committed to addressing today’s challenges through their learning, teaching, research, scholarship, and service. I feel a deep sense of gratitude to be part of this extraordinary community as we work together to shape the next chapter in Simmons history and continue the hard work of creating a more just world.
