Dr. Myers has taught courses at the Simmons School of Management on operations and technology management, leadership and governance, knowledge management, and project management.
As a consultant, Dr. Myers has helped higher education organizations, Fortune 100 companies and start-up businesses improve their capabilities in leadership, technology management, business process improvement, and organizational development. While at the University of Colorado Boulder, he led a team of consultants who help faculty integrate technologies into their teaching and oversaw the development and delivery of technology learning opportunities and resources for faculty, staff, and students.
His business experience includes four years as director of new product development at ICEX, an IT research and content management firm, and he was a research leader at CapGemini/Ernst &Young LLP’s Center for Business Innovation. He also started and ran his own small business, Paul’s Bake Shop and Café in Boulder, CO.
He has published articles in The Handbook of Research on Knowledge Management, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, International Journal of Disclosure & Governance, and CIO Magazine, edited the anthology Knowledge Management and Organizational Design, and co-authored several book chapters and Harvard Business School case studies on organizational change, entrepreneurship, and operations management.
Dr. Myers is a sociologist with a B.A (cum laude) from Yale University, an A.M. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Harvard Business School.
