About Me

Live in Gorham, Me with my husband. Raised 3 children who are all adults now. Retired as a Colonel after 30+ years in the Maine Army National Guard. Was the Medical Command Commander for 5+ years before retirement. Have been teaching NP students for over 19 years. Have worked as On Site and Interim Program Director as well as Clinical Coordinator for NP Program. Work per diem at the University of New England in the College Health Center as an ANP seeing patients.

  • Seeing patients in College Health and military medicine are my areas of expertise.
  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing students for 32 years.

What I Teach

  • Clinical Decision Making courses.
  • Have taught Advanced Physical Assessment courses in the past for > 20 years.

Community Engagement

  • Have been on the Maine State Board of Nursing in the APRN seat, on the Leavitt Mills Health Center Board, and a member of the Gorham Recreation Board.
  • Have been on Wellness Committees and volunteering in my children's classrooms in the Gorham School System.

Publications/Presentations

  • Have done multiple presentations. Last two presentations were on Women in the Military.
