Emily Perry

Assistant Professor of Practice/Mentoring and Supervision Faculty and Interim Director of Supervised Fieldwork

I graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. During my education there, I completed an internship in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and fell in love with working with children with special needs. After graduating, I relocated to the Boston, MA area, and began working at Perkins School for the Blind, in the Deafblind Program. I completed my graduate degree at Simmons in behavior analysis during my time at Perkins. Once I obtained my graduate degree, my career moved toward providing ABA therapy to individuals diagnosed with autism, which I did for the next 10 years.  I also worked at Simmons as an Individual and Group Mentor starting in 2013.  In September 2021, I became a part-time faculty member for Mentoring and Supervision to support both the on-campus and online programs, and in May 2022, I started working full-time at Simmons as the Interim Director of Mentoring for the campus program, as well as continuing my unique role within the department as Mentoring and Supervision faculty.
